In preparation for Pancake Day the boys and girls were all able to write a shopping list for Mrs Walker. Once we had all our ingredients we followed the recipe carefully to make delicious pancakes. The children had a choice of toppings and really enjoyed the treat. The next day we learned more about ‘bossy verbs’ and why they are so important in telling us what to do. Everyone was able to write a set of instructions for making pancakes, starting each step with a ‘bossy verb’.
