On Monday Mrs Walker’s P3s and Miss Proctor’s P3/4s went to the Marketplace Theatre in Armagh to perform our poems at the Speech and Drama Festival. We had been practising for a while and felt both excited and a little nervous to walk up on to the stage in front of an audience. Our first poem was called The Painting Lesson and the second one was Bed in Summer. The adjudicator really liked our poems and awarded us first place with 88 marks. Joe and Hannah went on stage to receive the trophy. Well done everyone!
